Light, Shadow, and Transformation – My Visual Worlds
My paintings are like emotional landscapes that oscillate between abstraction and figuration—they evoke memories of something deeply familiar, yet they form a unique cosmos of color and line. Never quite one thing, never quite the other. In large-format oil paintings, symbolic landscapes full of depth emerge: avenues leading into the unknown. Forests that, in the interplay of light and shadow, become breathing organisms. Reflections on water surfaces that dissolve what is seen and reassemble it anew.
My transparent painting layers color upon color until images emerge that are in motion—moving images in the literal sense. In series, I explore themes that recur and deepen: fire as a destructive and purifying force, butterflies as symbols of transformation, landscapes that tell more than the eye can grasp.
